Today, the press released another helpful dosage of pictures, depicting a shrivelled and stressed looking rendition of Selamat. This is based on the fact that “even someone trained in survival like Mas Selamat ‘can’t stay out in the open or even in disused compounds without suffering some changes”. Of course, a healthy dosage of hit reality tv series “Survivor” will also tell you as much.
The pictures released show what Selamat potentially looks like, after hiding in the forested areas of Singapore, eating wild berries, drinking rain water, looking over his back ever so often, and of course dodging the entire Singapore population. (Afterall, there’s now a $50,000 booty for providing clues leading to his arrest.)
So, without further ado, please find below Mas Selamat (maybe only), 18 days after his escape.
As a concerned citizen of Singapore, I will do a public service announcement and put forth my hypothesis.
What if (I know it is highly improbable that he has escaped from the country, as our highly efficient and effective forces has already sealed the borders, but just.. what if) he has indeed escaped through our borders, and has landed in another country? And he is in fact not hiding in the jungle, but provided with food and shelter?
Therefore, I present my version of Selamat (maybe only), if he were fully fed and clothed.
As a reminder for us not to forget his pre-escape face, here it is once more:
So Malaysians, Indonesians, Singaporeans, Laotians, Croa, People of Earth, if you see this man, in whichever form.
Please… call the police
