vinyarb- you just have to read it

Frontier(s) is part 2 in my 3 part french horror film appreciation class. Its tells of a gang of small time crooks, who, after executing a heist and chased by the police, flees to the countryside to hide.

There, they check into a seedy hostel run by a family of neo nazi inbreds. What's meant to be an easy breezy shelter for a night before continuing on their escape turns into a violent bloodbath we viewers know they cannot escape!

I'm guessing at this point that the French film industry just realised that they have indented an insane amount of prop blood that's due to expire, so they say "hey, lets make a movie to use up that blood instead of letting them go to waste!"

And so the fun begins.

In terms of story, there's not so much of a departure from the run of the mill slasher/torture porn we see in hollywood.

Perhaps its just interesting hearing "Please! Please don't kil me!" in french.
