This is the story of how the idea for the movie Couples Retreat came about...
Jon Favreau: Dude, i'm so tired from the Iron Man production.. i need a break man! Let's go Bora Bora for some sun and chicks. Vince Vaughn: Yeah, well, i'm dead broke... The Breakup didn't do too well ya know. Jon: Look, we can do this man! I need this! All we have to do, is write a script involving Bora Bora, and cast ourselves man!!! We get paid, to go to Bora Bora! Vince: Now you're talking... so we do a little acting, wrap up filming in 2 weeks, and get 2 months worth of fun on the beach? Jon: yeap. Vince: I'm in.
There you have it. A movie made so the stars can have a break while still making money. A simple enough premise with not exceptionally funny jokes.. the only saving grace (for me anyway) was the presence of hot chicks and bikinis, Kristen Bell, Malin Akerman and Kristin Davis. And of course, this post was merely a chance to post some awesome shots of em!
Oh, by the way, I give the movie a 2.5/5 (this is after each of the ladies here have bumped up 0.5 points each)
