Sometimes we forget

Sometimes we forget just how lucky we are.

And how much we actually have.

Its only too easy to slip into complaint mode and moan about the weather, the packed trains, about things not going our way at work, stupid meetings to attend where nothing's ever agreed upon.

Its also easy to grow a green eye while lusting other people's success and material luxuries.

But let's take a moment to reflect on what we already have. Speaking from my point of view, I've a good family, an awesome wife, a job that pays the bills, living in a country with neither rioting nor natural disasters, have internet access, get to watch LOST.

Really, what's not to like?

Yet we find ourselves so often wanting more, complaining more, and not satisfied with our lives as it is.

It usually takes a disaster or two before we start reflecting and be thankful for things we've always taken for granted. But that should not be the case.

So let's you and I close our eyes and start appreciating the little things we already have.
