Recently, there's been a lot of thrashing of SMRT's highly paid CEO Ms Saw Phaik Hwa. Her one line "People can board the trains - its whether they choose to" is gaining almost as much traction as that other famous line "I did not have sexual relations with that woman, miss lewinsky".

Now, I'm a reasonable man, and I like to explore ALL options before laying down judgement. People are saying that trains are packed, Ms Saw is saying it isn't. There's obviously a "They Say, She Says" problem here.

So, as usual, its up to vinyarb to settle this issue once and for all.

I've racked my brain. And researched extensively on what other countries do.

And i've come to the conclusion that our trains are indeed not packed. And that should people choose to, they CAN still board.

I hear a collective HOW? (actually, its more like KNN LA! HOW?!?!?!)

And the answer is one word.

Crowdsurfing.

Next Stop... Joo Koon.

Yes. We have not gone down that route yet.

See? It can be done. We just have to be innovative. Its just not realistic to expect Singapore to be packed-train free.

But seriously, 1.43 million pay package, and that's the best line you can come up with?

Phaik-ed up la.

Packed trains scare me.. or rather the fact that no matter how packed, there will always be 5 people who "CAN" still board, regardless of how impossible it may seem.
